The 13th China YiWu International Commodities Fair

The 13th China Yiwu International Commodities Fair 2007 will run October 22-26, 2007 at Yiwu in China's Zhejiang province.

The fair started in 1995, and has been held for several sessions continuously. In 2002, it was upgraded as an international commodity fair. The fair is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province.

In response to the rapid development in the auto parts & accessories industry in Yiwu, the 2007 fair will introduce a new pavilion especially for this product category. This pavilion, together with other major exhibits, will offer a full range of China-made commodities to buyers from all over the world. Exhibitors will be grouped into different exhibition zones for convenient sourcing.

The 2006 fair featured over 4,000 booths. More than 2,200 local and overseas enterprises participated in the fair to showcase their products to over 103,000 visitors.

Based on this result, the fair organizer expects the 2007 fair to draw 2,500 suppliers. They will occupy about 4,500 booths at the show venue, China Commodity City Exhibition Centre. Meanwhile, there will be conference and special events during the show period. With all these activities, the show is expected to draw over 100,000 visitors.

Global Sources will be at the show with its own booth to promote the company's total sourcing solution consisting of print, online and face-to-face sourcing channels for buyers and suppliers. The company will also conduct early registrations for the China Sourcing Fair: Fashion Accessories (December 12-15, 2007, Shanghai; April 12-15, 2008, Hong Kong) and the China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Home Products (April 20-23, 2008, Hong Kong).
