Last Year 439 Domestic Companies Got Listed in HK

By the end of December of 2007, there had been 439 domestic companies went to the public in HK (main board and second board). Among them, 146 were H stock, 93 were red chip, 200 domestic private companies were non-H stock. The market value of domestic companies accounted for 58.2% of the total amount in HK stock market and the transaction amount accounted for 70.9%.

As of the end of December, 2007, HK has 1,241 listed companies with total market value of HKD20,690b and annual growth of 55%. In 2007, the average daily amount in HK Stock Market was HKD88.1b, up by 160% comparing with that in 2006. The average daily transaction amount of derivative warrants was HKD19.1b, up by 163% comparing with that in 2006.
