TRADITIONAL OF Brazil/FASHION HAND-BAGS/Bolsa BS009
The "capim dourado" (golden grass), is a plant that apparently doesn't grow anywhere else in the world. It is a natural grass that is only found in the Center of Brazil, near the Amazonia Florest. Recently, the traditional handcrafts made by women from the Mumbuca Community started being commercialized in large Brazilian cities and European countries. The people here have the talent and the patience to turn blades of grass into gold. The official name of the plant is Syngonantus sp, and called Capim Dourado by locals. The handbags, baskets, and jewelry pieces have become objects of desire in Brazil and elsewhere and, yes, they do gleam, shine like gold! We are very satisfacted to be working with these kind of products, because at the same time we are making our contribuition to preserve the native florest and develope the regional people.
