The four alkaline batteries provide around twelve hours of continuous operation. On the rear of the unit, there is a push on, push off rubber switch. Activation is therefore very safe and simple, which is critical during an emergency. Although primarily designed for vehicle and roadside applications, this emergency flare continues to expand on its usefulness in various situations around the world. E. G. It is broadly accepted that a flashing light can be made far more visible, and therefore attention getting, if it can be made to move as well. This flare exploits this characteristic by rotating the lights whilst pulsating them. The subsequent movement of light becomes the primary aspect to catch an observer's attention. The domestic version of this flare is water resistant. It can withstand heavy rainfall and it can float. The commercial model flare can withstand much harsher environments and is waterproof to one metre. The battery cover, located on the rear of the flare, can be easily removed by hand. This emergency flare contains twenty high performance ultra bright technology led's.
